Chelsea Madrigal originally from Texas now residing on the East Coast, has performed all over Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and even some special appearances in Tepoztlan, Mexico. She is an “open up your soul” kind of performer who, believe it or not, you just might want to catch playing solo with nothing but her voice of a siren swirling in a sea of melodic rhythmic guitar to intoxicate and pull you in. Whether you catch her solo performance or with her ever evolving and revolving band, it will be a journey well spent.
When it comes to music Chelsea is much more than just a singer songwriter. She also records and produces and is well versed in Pro-Tools and other electronic mediums. She plays the guitar and a little bit of many other instruments. She also often freelances as a music supervisor and music licensor. If you need music, whether it is her own skills or her amazing network of extremely talented artists and musicians, she will get an excellent job done.
She has played venues from the legendary now extinct CBGB’s gallery in New York, and The Viper Room in Los Angeles, to The House Of Blues in Dallas. She has played several benefits for some amazing organizations such as Evolution Box’s benefit for 911 at Shine in New York, Susan G. Kohmen in Los Angeles and The Go Girls Music Festival and Benefit for Promise House in Dallas. She has played music festivals such as The Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice, California to Culture Catch’s SXSW showcase in Austin, Texas.
Her vocals and songs have been featured in films such as Carl Colpaert’s 2004 film The Affair winner of 5 Gold Remi Awards.
And several songs written and performed by Chelsea Madrigal from her last CD and electronica project known as The Siren Frequency are featured in 2010’s release of Nostrum.

She has also added vocal collaboration to other amazing artist’s albums such as her very early days with DJ Jackie Christie where they collaborated with Jim Nicholson under the alias The Children Of Ohm to write and perform “Night Flavours” for Details Magazine and Bacardi’s Compilation “Flavors Of The Night” where the song was featured for the campaign’s debut party at Studio 54.
Her vocals are also featured on true positive hip hop artists album’s such as E-Reece – A New Breed and NHI’s (Non-Human- Intelligence) first single My Favorite Alien.

Chelsea Madrigal has definitely caught the ear of music enthusiasts and can pack a show but is just now starting to reach the ears of the masses. With her upcoming album release in March 2011 The Deepest Sea she is sure to finally break through the distance. There are many incredible artists that go unknown due to the lack of financial backing and ability to focus on their music full time. Instead in between 60 hour work weeks and performances they also need to be their own publicist, agent, manager, producer, director…and well you get the drift. So if you enjoy the work of this artist please feed a musician, buy her music and spread the word. It is up to us to keep music alive. Love&Light.
